Biography

As our State Representative, Rosemary Brown has used her unique mix of real-world experience and common sense to return fiscal discipline to  state government, put us back on a path to economic vitality and fight for the issues that matter most to our communities.

Elected in 2010 to serve as our State Representative, Rosemary Brown has earned a reputation in Harrisburg as an independent leader and a strong new voice fighting for taxpayers.  In just her first year in office, she has already successfully supported new laws to help property taxpayers, make government more transparent, and change the way our state treats job creators to spark economic growth.

A businesswoman, wife, mother, taxpayer and concerned citizen, Rosemary Brown is like us:
committed to protecting our families and seniors, and making  sure our children have a brighter future.

Rosemary has lived in the Poconos for 36 years.  She attended our local schools, graduating from East Stroudsburg High School and earning a degree in communications from the University of Scranton.  After college, Rosemary began her career in the business world working in management with companies such as Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue.  In 1997, Rosemary moved back to the area to work as a Divisional Manager of the Bon-Ton Stores helping them to meet budgets, manage employees and sales.  In 2000 she decided to make a career switch and headed into Pharmaceutical Sales, working for Hoffman-LaRoche and a division of Johnson & Johnson, Vistakon.  After a family tragedy in 2004, Rosemary made the conscious decision to dedicate time to building a family.

The real-world experience that Rosemary has gained over her 12 years in business management gave her the background and know-how to work as our State Representative. She uses her background in cutting costs, meeting a budget and controlling spending to make Harrisburg more fiscally responsible and hold the big-spending politicians accountable to the taxpayers.

Rosemary knows that our local community is a great place to live, work and raise a family, because that is what drew her back here after college.  She and her husband of 17 years, her high school sweetheart Joe, live in Middle Smithfield Township with their three children, Kennedy, Carter & Reagan.   Rosemary shares our concerns as taxpayers and parents, and that is exactly why she will work to make sure that our local communities get their fair share and continue to thrive so that our families can do the same.
