Meet Rosemary
Rosemary Brown isn’t a politician. She is a businesswoman, taxpayer,
wife, daughter and mother who will bring a unique mix of
real-world experience and common sense to Harrisburg to
control taxes and spending, and put our state back on the right track.
A 35 year resident of the Poconos, Rosemary attended our local schools, graduating from East Stroudsburg High School and then earning a degree in communications from the University of Scranton. After college, Rosemary was chosen to participate in the prestigious Executive Management Training Program with Macy’s. Upon completing this course, Rosemary entered the business world and developed the real-world skills we so desperately need in Harrisburg today.
During her professional career, Rosemary worked with some of America’s most well-known retailers, including Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bon-Ton. Rosemary left the retail industry to pursue an opportunity in the pharmaceutical sales field, where she worked with Hoffman La Roche and Vistakon, a division of Johnson & Johnson. In her roles as an Executive Manager and Sales Representative, Rosemary learned to successfully lead people and bring them together for a common goal. She also dealt every day with budgeting and projections, building business, employee management, problem solving, customer service and other areas.
Rosemary has been married for 15 years to her high school sweetheart, Joe. Together, they are part of a large, close-knit family that lives throughout our community. Sadly, in 2002, Rosemary lost her sister-in-law at the age of 35. This loss affected Rosemary deeply and, with her husband, she made the decision to leave the professional workforce and take on a new challenge: being a mom. Today, Rosemary and Joe have three children: Kennedy, Carter and Reagan.
Rosemary lives the same life as so many of us. She understands the challenges of making ends meet and the worry over the future we will leave our children. Rosemary’s parents, Ken and Marlene, live in our community as well. She understands their generation’s concerns with healthcare and overall rising costs on property taxes. It is this understanding of the challenges that we face in our everyday life that Rosemary will carry to Harrisburg and use to fight for the issues that really matter.
