Dear Neighbor,

Welcome to my on-line campaign headquarters and thank you for visiting.

It is my hope that you will take a few moments to find out more about me, my record and my ideas for helping put Pennsylvania on the right track.

After eight years of tax-spend-and-borrow policies under Governor Rendell, taxpayers were stretched to the breaking point and jobs were leaving our state. That’s why I ran for State Representative – because, like you, I know our state can do for taxpayers, better for job creators and better for our children.

Since taking office in 2011, I have fought hard to put Pennsylvania back on a strong fiscal foundation.  In fact, we passed the first on-time, balanced budget in nearly a decade.  Fiscal discipline is a reality with our state spending $1 Billion less than the year before.  Most importantly, the money our state now spends is focused on priorities like education.

We have also begun to blaze a path back to economic and job growth by passing important reforms that are making Pennsylvania competitive in the national jobs marketplace.

And our calls for much-needed property tax reform are finally beginning to be heard.  This year, we passed the most significant property tax relief legislation in 20 years.  This new law strengthens the rights of voters to approve school tax increases through referendum and reduces the dozen exceptions school districts used to use to avoid referendum down to just three.  Is this the end? Of course not, but it is a step in the right direction.

As promised, I have also led by example on the issue of reform by refusing the taxpayer-paid car, per diems, cell phone and automatic salary increases.  I successfully fought to make all state House members pay for a portion of their…
